When our grandparents used to shop at the grocers chances are he greeted them by name, knew what they usually bought, may have put the last pack of tea to one side because he knew they’d be coming and instantly knew which new products they’d be interested in. He was like a friend and our grandparents would never have dreamt of shopping anywhere else. What wouldn’t you do for that kind of loyalty?
